Aryna Sabalenka
Sabalenka was born in Belarus in Minsk. Her father Sergey (d. in 2019) was an athlete in ice hockey. Aryna Sabalenka is a Belarusian born May 5th 1998. Aryna Sabalenka has 12 WTA Singles titles. One of which was named "Grand Slam" at the Australian Open 2023. She is also an excellent doubles player. She has won two other Majors in this category, including the US Open 2019 and the Australian Open 2021 won both with Elise Mertens. Alongside her, the Belgian tennis player she was a WTA 1000s winner in Indian Wells in 2019 and Miami. The women's doubles had only four couples win this title. It was only four couples who achieved this feat when playing women's doubles. The same year she won in Melbourne, and after that went to the top spot worldwide for doubles. Dmitry Tursunov (a former Russian tennis player) was her coach for a portion of the 2019 season as well as from the year 2018 until end. There was a brief collaboration with Dieter Kindlmann in August until September of 2020. From the beginning of 2020 she's been trained by her fellow countryman Antonio Dubrov. Serena Williams is her role model, being followed by Maria Sharapova.
